Introduction-Statement of Interest- I am currently in a Co-op position at C&C Roadhouse & Grill, after completing the first year of the Culinary Management Program. My topic is Professional Kitchen Organization. This topic is important to me because starting out as a new employee in a new career was tough for me. My Web Page would be designated to help people in the industry to make their kitchens as efficient as possible and help their staff in turn. Topic: Professional Kitchen Organization I know quite a bit about general kitchen organization in a professional setting. From not only my experience working in kitchens but attending George Brown College for Pastry Chef Program first year and Georgian College Chef Management Program first year. Both of which were very good examples of a well organized kitchen on a Industrial Capacity. 　 I am not aware of comparable sites specific to this topic. I am also not sure about how to go about getting advertising on my site. these are a few things I am going to have to research further. Apart from that there is still lots of information that I will need delve deeper into like Building Code Regulations, exact specs on kitchen equipment and which Design Program I am going to use on my site. Central Message: I believe all Restaurants should have a Kitchen Plan on hand for all restaurant staff to have access to. My Website would be a tool to aid Restaurants new and existing, to design an efficient, organized system. With ideas and inspirations how to achieve that. Purpose: The primary purpose of my Website will be to assist people in learning how to make their Kitchen work at the most optimal level of efficiency that it can. Also to inform people of new and innovative storage solutions, kitchen accessories and so on. I feel my Website will be set apart from others because of the free Kitchen Design Program I am planning to incorporate into my site. This will actually be free with no catches or limitations like a lot of other things that claim to be free on the Internet. I feel this is a very unique feature. Audience and Community: My Website is intended primarily for independent owners of small family owned restaurants. The reason I say for small business's is, I figure large chain restaurants have lots of money and hire designers to do this kind of thing for them. I will try to keep people interested in my site by using bright eye catching images and by adding new content to my site regularly. Visuals: Pictures of high quality Professional Kitchens and layout designs will be used on my Website. Colour will help to present my material, I will use bold in all my layout with a bright yellow for a background. The rest of the web page will be in primary colours. I believe the bold font will stand out making it easy to read and follow. Website Design Software: http://www.weebly.com/features.html is the site I am planning on using to build my Website. Since it is suggested in the the assignment material, I assumed it would be good. The site also is very easy to manoeuver around and "dummie" proof. Content: I will probably need at least 5-7 slides to convey all the information that I want to share. I will am going to design the website in such a manner that the homepage has all different sub- categories that you can click on to navigate to different parts of the site. This way I think it will keep the Main Page clutter free and easy to read.

The purpose is to become familiar with the process of building a website, and to think about what it takes to communicate effectively on the internet. The success of this project depends on how much time you take to plan your format, information and overall theme.You must also follow your website outline as close as possible. Talk to your peers, your teachers, and people in your industry about what type of information would be of benifit. Remember that an effective website can become part of your jobsearch portfolio.
