I suppose this is a call for some guidance, I’ve done some solo researching over the past week(not too much >.<) or so and haven’t made much progress. I’m not looking for an easy way out or a complete walk through, just hoping to find a good resource that could help me accomplish what I’m after. What I’d like to do is create a tabbed content area. The only way I know how to do this currently is through the use of iframes, no one likes them, myself included so I’d rather stay away. I have little experience with php or ajax, which is what I’m assuming I would have to write this in. Any suggestions as to where I could find some help with creating something like this? Second, building off the above, with all the CMS based stuff I’ve worked with, is there anyway to manage a small amount of content without the use of a database? I’m rather lacking in this area, my experience comes in under vbb, phpbb and phpnuke and WP. Last, any recommendations for a free CMS? I’ve been told Joomla by a few people but would like to check into a few other options. I’m not much for phpnuke but I could deal with it. Is it an astonishingly large task to write your own CMS or is it just time consuming? Anyone know of a good resource out there that could provide useful information? Just thought I’d ask.
