    vbcore.com
    vbcustom.com

I would recommend the above two.

Vic, are you looking for a completely custom or a stock style? Instead of people just tossing out names that question needs to be answered first.

For stock designs, besides the link in my sig' below ;) you can find a list of other providers at: http://myvbulletinblog.com/vbulletin-resources/

For custom designs I'd recommend Nicholas @ ForumSkin.com or you can find some other references at the same link above. If you do end up with a custom design just make sure that you carefully research the designer first to see what kinds of experience other customers had with them previously as some people have a habit of recommending a site without prior first-hand knowledge.

EDIT: A thread on vB.org as well.... http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=102739&page=1&pp=15

I'd watch out for VBCORE. This guy is a real thief, check out the posts on other sites. I am not posting to rant, but to make sure that no one else gets ripped off by him. he gets paid up front and then strings you along with a list of excuses, his family member died, there is no power at his house, he has a lot of stuff going on. He is a real dick. I am filing a small claims action in Arlington against him. If anyone is in the same situation and want to file a claim his information is below.

    Name: Kolby Bothe
    Addy: 3407 Forestway Ct.
    Location: Arlington, Texas
    Zip: 76001
    Phone: 8179997164

He counts on the fact that you will pay with paypal and that paypal doesn't offer buyer protection for virtual items. then he just doesn't respond. in any event, check out these links with similar stories. these are all different people.

I am posting this as a testimonial. I just hired Kolby Bothe / vBCore to do a forum skin for my new and upcoming project DJs.com. He was hired to do the project and he did a very excellent job on it. The turn around time was superb. It took him 3 days to do the entire skin. Kolby Bothe is not a thief, he is a very honest person. I highly recommend him for anyone who needs vBulletin projects. He is one of the best.

    Thanks,
    Michael

I too had the same negative experience.

He did most of the skin work though. He wasn't pleasant to work with.

Initially told me he worked for vbskins but there is a scam warning posted on their site about him misrepresenting his ownership of that site.

He goes by the name backslash now, or vibe.

He's just a young kid, and I feel bad for him, but I sure wish I'd read the warnings...

I've been screwed over by quite a few people now on vbulletin.org.

I'd give anything to find JUST ONE person who could do programming and skins that was honest, and would accept payment after completion or via escrow like on rentacoder===JUST ONE!

    I should update my post.

He has since done free work for me and made up for the loss. Additionally he said he was from vbskins and it was vbstyles where they said he was representing himself as an employee.

I just wanted to clarify that it was the similarity in the names which was confusing and that while he may have been attempting to sound similar, it was in fact not the same site.
