Hi im thinking about changing the login page and other front end pages look.(template) Would like some ideas. I know there is alot of these games about. So what im looking for is something totally different from the other games if possible. Something that will catch the eye . Something that will make people go WOW now that stands out/looks different /looks great ect ect. Will let you get your brains thinking and see what ideas you can come up with. Instead of having the login on the first page, have a clear PLAY NOW button that can take them to the login. And the guy crouching in the backround, either have him point the gun at the screen or have a target thing move aross the screen. You know the circle with the cross in them lol. ''Its time to get into the action''-dont have that roll down (which I do not like that much anyway). Say that above the play now button. For more ideas look at Runescape. Very popular and good use of music that you need to get.ie addictive music lol.
I have two suggestions. First, I think you should slow down the scrolling information box just a little bit. Second, I like the way it all looks but I think you could sell your game a lot better if you had a "see the game" section or something that showed viewers what the game looks like when you play before registering. I know for me demo cd/download/pictures always help sell me on signing up or buying a new game.
The front page is nice as design, but i do not like the usability - i'd like to get a scrollbar on the text when pointing on it and stop scroll it when the user would like it. Then, i'd add a phrase somewhere on "what's this site about". The design indicates, that it is a game, but some text would be useful too.
you should definetly get rid of the scrolltext and put all information the user needs to have on the site use some screenshots in your description (I guess it's a browsergame) this will make it easier to get what the site is about and maybe give a reason to register
You can make a big content to post there the texts and remove that scrolltext . Change the buttons too
