Brand new site for my article writing business. Only problem is I don't know what to add. Any ideas on what should be put on the home page? Any ideas on pages ot be added? http://www.freewebs.com/frozenarticles/index.htm
you definitely need some good copy on your website that will separate you from your competition and that will instill confidence in your readers. no offense but the site is pretty far away from looking and reading professional. IMO you should first investigate other websites and companies offering such services, you have to see how they do it, what they write, why they write it and then you have to figure out a way to top them and be different and unique. hope this helps!
alrighty thanks im currently building up my portfolio!!! thatnks for your help... do you think the fact that its a free website will affect buyers decisions???
Hi..I do think it does definitely affect buyers decision in some levels.. The basic thing is to get yrself a web space & doman which properly represent your business site..
IO figured as much.... i'm just not to familiar with domains and things of that nature so I'm kind of going thourgh the website blondfolded any help to offer?
It's actually very easy to register yourself a domain & webspace..There are tons of sites offering this.. If you need a good reliable one, just PM me...
"Not only that but we gurantee the best quality or your money back. What ever you wish is our..." That's directly from your homepage. You really have to be careful about typos and simple grammar. If your site is riddled with misspelled words, why would I buy your articles? An honest mistake, yes, but it may prove to be a costly one.
Thanks for that didn't even realize. I don't think the site will help so I'm going to forget about that one especially since it's free. Are there any other ways I can show samples of my work?
Why are you so hung up on the fact that it's a free site? If that's a stupid question, please forgive me, I'm new here! It just seems to me that if the content is good, people wouldn't mind. Ummm, you could create a fancy site with a free template from wordpress or joomla. I thought of starting an article writing site after seeing swiftwriters.com up for sale in the sitepoint marketplace. Check it out, it's simple, but nice. You could do something like that and then advertise it on the forums. Most forums are free to advertise on when you've made enough posts. Also, you might want to consider charging a little more. It has to be worth your time and also, some people have a whole "you get what you pay for" mentality. Research what other people are charging for the same service. Go a little lower than them, if you must. I don't know. Just my thoughts...Good luck!
When people see you using a free web site for a business they don't take you as seriously as they would if you had a dmain name. Same witha paypal, people will take you more seriously if your account is verified as apposed to not being verified.
