    hi im looking for someone who is really good at seo to analyze my website http://www.GoldElement.info and to give me tips on anything i can do onpage to make it rank better in google.

    It was listed about a week ago and is in position 13 for one of the keywords but positions 600+ for the rest.

    I currently have no backlinks but i have enlisted the help of a directory submission company.

    If you can change your design from HTML to CSS style it's better, you need to move the content to the top of the page (on the source code), if you check your code your content start at line 102.

    Check the html source of the page, and the way you see the code is the way the spiders see the code, and as you can see spider see the menu before your content.

    If you don't want to change to CSS then you can use the "table empty cell" trick

    For backlinks submit your site to social bookmarking sites.

    Ok, you can use your actual html code and still put the content above the menu code, but you will have to change how you use your tables, my recommendation is:

    <body>
    <table>
    <tr> <td colspan = 2>HEADER</td></tr>
    <tr><td> *empty cell* </td><td rowspan = 2> CONTENT </td></tr>
    <tr><td>MENU</td></tr>
    <tr> <td colspan = 2>FOOTER</td></tr>
    </body>

    Try this configuration and you will see your content will appear before your menu.
    It's an old trick but still works :cool:

    You do realise that html and css are supposed to be used together. html presents the content in a structural fashion and css styles it. They work together.

    But why would you want your content appearing before your menu? Do you think it makes a difference? I'd like to know why (and see some evidence)...

    Content, in my opinion is best near the top. As to css over html, I am trying it out on a couple of sites, however my head tells me that a html page with a same content as one controlled mainly by css will rank higher. The reason Google can see all with html and do not trust css as much.

    But am testing at the moment and will have an answer soon.

    ..er.. why? Spiders are programs, they will read all data on a page regardless of where it's positioned. Also, the top 3 search engines have immense capacity for data. They aren't going to get to the end of your menu and say "phew I can't take no more".

    You clearly don't understand what html and css are used for. I retreat from this ill fated thread. Good luck to all who venture forth.

    Not quite true they limit the amount of KB's that they read. Anyway I'm top 10 for search engine optimization in the UK on Google, I put content before anything and will continue to do so.

    Nope I know nothing! I admit it I am a fraud! Thank you for pointing it out.

    Added text
    I meant one that has virtually no css as opposed to one that has lots of it. There is a difference.

    ...design from HTML to CSS...

    I refer TO use CSS stylesheets on the design, change the design to use classes and then define the style of this classes on a style.css file.

    Stewmath, please check http://www.csszengarden.com/ for more information about how use CSS and how this can help to optimize your (this is for you too hooperman!)

    Sorry, I forgot you're the Masters amIT29... but you don't know how to display Adsense on all your pages and
    "ADSENSE for 5+ months and have generated only $77.2 from 3 blogs I have" ?? :mad:

    My intention is to help and give some advice, not to be attacked....

    Your site is new...

    Build links for it... Posts on forums and contribute good informations.

    Directory submissions, make blog for your site, you can also linkexchange to related sites but don't do it excessively.

    At least everday you focus on link building your site will do fine.

    First of all why all the text at home page and other pages are bold. Do bold those text only which you want to highlight and they are keywords.

    Secondly Change the design of your site it is not professional
    Third things is use google adsense not at the top and center but at bottom left or bottom right.

    And finally off page optimization which includes every methods to build backlinks

    The higher the content is the easier it is for the search engine to grab its content. Off page optimization is just as important as page optimization.

    heres some tips I told someone else in another thread

    To improve your seo you could do these small things. Make a privacy policy even if it has nothing, google checks for those and indexes them more often, submit your site to google.com/addurl. And just exchange links with related sites to yours. Non related sites are considered link farming.

    PS: Try google webmasters.

    i dont think i can get my content before my navigation without having all my links at the bottom of the page and i dont want it like that. I personally want to keep it on the left hand side with the articles on the right.

    Good point with the privacy policy etc, i will get on and do that later and recreate the sitemap to and reupload that to google webmasters. I was in the top 10 rankings for alot of the keywords for about a week and then for some reason my rankings dropped by like 1000% from page 1 to page 100 and all my backlinks dissappeared. There is nothing black hat etc on there, all white and done properly so i have no idea whats happened.
