I just purchased an amazing product for making money on Craig's List and I'm wondering the best way to get my affiliate link out there. So far I'm working on creating a blog, a Squidoo page, and possibly utilizing the resources of free networking sites, like Facebook and Myspace. I've also heard that it's OK to post your affiliate URL in your signature here so long as you don't abuse the privilege. Is this true? Any other ideas for a newbie in affiliate marketing? Thank you.
For starters see what your competition is doing. Look up your product or service and see who ranks for what. Then do some back link checks and such and this will give you some info on what they are doing.
How much do you guys find it helps to put your affiliate link in your signature on forums like these for generating traffic to your site?
Signature links actually do drive traffic to my site from DP. Its been quite impressive actually the amount of clickthoughs my sites are getting.
You may get clickthroughs from your signatures here, but unless you product is marketed to webmasters i don't think that traffic would convert too well for your affiliate program.
If I'm not mistaken affiliate link in this forum signature is not allowed. You can only put link to your own site on the signature. why not you read the rules first to be confirmed.
