Hey everyone, Would anyone please be kind enough to review my blog's theme and give me some tips to improve it and feedback. http://www.lilwaynehq.com Thanks, appreciate it
Nice header. There's nothing remarkable about the design, except that it is very easy to navigate. I was put off by the intrusion of an adverstisement popping in unexpectedly, obscuring the material I was reading. You might want to "rethink" that specific "flaw". Nice blog
Great Clean Design. Easy Navigation. You might want to tweak the header image a bit to make the site name more readable and perhaps brighter.
Ok when you say site name, do you mean the "LilWayneHQ.com" on the actual header graphic? And yes, I need to get rid of the popups, but it's the only real thing which helps me pay to keep my websiet up on the server.
I think the navigation is really good, works well. The design is nice and simple, for me the only thing is the position of the header does not seem fit in the site, maybe too much space above the nav. Good work though.
Can you please explain more, because it doesn't look empty at all to me? Thanks But there is only like 10 pixels between the nav and logo?
Nice, clean page. I don't like the head banner, too harsh, but I guess it's appropriate for the site theme.
Great job on the site(tags, title of each blog entry and the domain)! I searched for "Lil Wayne" and your blog was on the first page and I wrote "Lil Wayne Fansite" and your site was the first one. As for the design, it looks good to only have been on for 3 months! I agree with JoyGoRound about the ad, it's an intrusion and gives you a shocker.
Nice clean design. My only concern is that it's not centered, but it looks like it should be. This is probably why drdavisjr said that the right side looks empty.
Thank you, appreciate what you said and I have worked extremely hard with SEO on my site Can you show me a screenshot please
If you can work it so that there is no space between the navigation and banner and the social networking icons overlap the banner image (set that image as a background of say '#head' div and use negative margins on the actual icons to knock them up a few pixels - negative margins as opposed to absolute/relative positioning tend to work better). When scrolling to the bottom of the page the right side can appear empty, but im guessing this is only really happening on the index page (possibly set up a little box with some content in that only shows on the home page to combat this). The post :hover colour I dont like as it just makes it harder to read... A :hover link should further highlight the text, its the :active aspect of the A tag where a dark colour should be used for the best aesthetic outcome. Other than these few minor things I think it looks clean and easy to navigate. Nice work!
It does a tiny bit lol Ok, what colour do you think would be best for the a:hover on the post titles? I will try and fill up that space too this week Also, I will see what I can do with that gap and pushing the icons and menu bar up.
