Hey guys, My name is Lee, full time college student at Texas Tech, just trying to make a little bit of money here so hopefully at some point I won't have to have a job in order to pay for my rent next semester. But I just wanted to join the site so I could get a little bit more information and hopefully some advice. I have bought probably about ten or so domain names mainly all .infos but really I have only done one website fully and the rest are pretty much under construction. My website that is fully done is: www.TheNaturalSelection.info I have put up about 3 or so reviews on the website. I was hoping maybe some of y'all could give me a little feedback on the website and reviews themselves. Also I have a few questions. 1) My current website has no real niche, it is kind of a general thing. Is this the wrong thing to do, should I concentrate on one niche? If so what is one of the more popular ones if anyone feels like sharing their secrets. 2) What is a good way to advertise fast, as I have done the Craigslist bit trying to get people and I got over 250 people to look at what I was trying to sell but absolutely no buyers? Also the submitting articles didn't seem to work that great for me as I submitted it to a few article places but that didn't seem to work at all either. I probably just need a little more patience on this part. 3) Also how do you do the automated emails as well as gathering emails from say a form. I have been trying to find that code or automated response stuff and have been having difficulty finding it. I am hopefully looking for a free alternative if there is one. Thanks, Lee

Money I think I will take you up on that offer but I will probablly not be able to do so until later tonight or possibly tomorrow. How late do you think you will be up? Thanks, Lee
MoneyMoose - Says sleeping on your away message, but if you want to IM me it is FirmConspiracy on AIM. Also would making the site into something that costs money to look at the entire archives of review and if someone wants to be reviewed then they can pay me a fee and I can put them on there, would that be a bad idea? Currently my reviews are not just one niche, but I plan to do something along the lines of concentrating on one niche at a time such as the pets and doing somewhere between 5-10 reviews at a time then moving to the next one so I can have a multitude of things. Thanks, Lee
1. Do what you love.......a niche is better typically.... 2. Learn how to find your target market.....While craigslist worked for us a few years ago the amount of spammers now makes it hard to find that "customer" you want. 3. You cannot collect e-mail address you find on forums or other places, that is a violation of the Can Spam act and IF you're using a University's servers not the smartest move if you want to stay away from fines and penalties. You can find more information on Can Spam here Be well!
Thank you, I appreciate the feedback. As far as the forums go I was just creating topics with links to my site I was not taking peoples emails from the forums. Just putting my site out there. Thanks, Lee
Hi - I think you should turn it into a niche, definitely, if you like pets then that would be a ggod way to go - then, you need to add content - pet food, pet toys, pet health, etc. I like the color of your site and the site if really simple and neat. I think people like that. You need to go back over the paragraph you have on your homepage, lots of mistakes in it. So, I think you get have a great little sight without tons of work. Pick a niche, put in some content (you can can get really good content here for a low price, "services" section of the forum. Also when you put a link in your post here, hit the little world thing "insert link" that way people will be able to click on your link and you will probably get a little more advice, I don't think people will take the time to copy your link into their browser. Don't think about making a lot of websites think about getting 1 really good one out there.
Thanks again I really want to get more feedback so I will change that right away, and I am extremely open to some constructive criticism. As far as niche goes, I was thinking I would do something with 10 different niches and have at least 10 reviews inside this niche and ask for a membership fee of say 5 dollars a month for one niche and for all of them say 10 dollars a month. And if people want their site reviewed they give me a copy of the product or possibly pay me in order to do the review that way I can have income in multiple directions. Is this a horrible idea? EDIT: I am not allowed to put in links yet apparently...
I have added a few more articles to the Pet Section but am still looking for a little more feedback, ideas, and maybe traffic ideas.
Alright thanks man I will be sure to look at that. I wrote up a simple business plan with extreme basics what do yall think of it: Business Plan Goals:500 dollars a month. Plan: Make a website that provides high quality reviews of products, have affiliate links built into these reviews. Pets: 10 – 20 reviews, make money in them Next Niche: 10 – 20 reviews, make money with it Next Niche: 10 – 20 reviews, make money with it Make the website a membership website that costs 3 dollars a month to be subscribed to one niche, and 10 dollars a month to all the niches. Next niche: 10-20 and so on… While submitting these articles also submit articles that make the reader want to visit the website in order to come see the entire article. Also want to start a newsletter for each niche at some point.
