I have a project that I have desired to create for some time. I essentially want to take Epinions.com, Helium.com, and some other ideas that I have and merge them together. The idea would be to create a site where users create all of the content and as the site grows, makes money, they would benefit from it. Users would also monitor, rate, and control all of the content as well to ensure that it is always of quality and would benefit from moderating as well. This would ensure a largescale community, where ideas can be expressed, but with little to no staff beyond core functionality. For this project, I am looking to partner up with someone. I would be willing to give this person a negotiable salary, plus ownership in the site itself. Once the site is developed, I have the marketing taken care of. I am the partner in several different Florida area publications with a combined readership of around 5,000,000. I would utilize this advertising, my exensive website portfolio, and of course other means in order to promote and grow the site. So, needless to say, marketing isn't the issue.
