Looking for select advertisers

Hello - I am new to all this and just recently joined CJ.

My website is about historic restoration. I am having a difficult time finding affiliate ads to put on my site that are relevant.

There are quite a few businesses out there I would like to advertise for but they are not part of CJ.

Any ideas on what I can do?

    thanks in advance,
    Ken

Probably be a good idea to figure out if there is a market and products to sell BEFORE you build.

Having said that it's time to STOP what you are doing. Go to the Bookstore or Library and yes online.

Look for trade publications... look at the ads in the magazines. Are there trade shows? Read the tiny classifieds.

This usually opens your mind to a whole new world of opportunities.

And of course you can always cold call and set up deals to sell your own leads. It all depends on how much traffic you can generate and how much interest you can generate.

    Good luck.

Please read my original post. I am not that stupid.

I am aware there are lots of advertisers I would like to promote.

I joined CJ thinking I would find them but with all the advertisers listed, there really are not any I would really want to put on my website.

If I understand correctly, you are saying I should contact a company I would like to promote and ask them to subscribe to CJ?

Puppychew - CJ is pricey for merchants join, many will not be interested. I say if you can't find what you are looking for check out other networks as well.
