Howdy Ya'll . . . I am new to digitalpoint.com so I hope this is the best place to post this question/problem. My website design/building knowledge is pretty much self-taught and I am still in the leanring process so ya'll be gentle with me. I have put together a new website (you can see it at pickmysmoker.com if you are so inclined) and I would like to add a place for visitors to add comments on different pages in the sidebar area of the site. I have spent a few days searching through and experimenting with a bunch of free scripts (no budget for this), but I cannot find one that I can get to work. I would like to know if anyone can suggest/recommend a free, easy to install and set up customizeable script that will allow me to add a comments area to my website? If not, I would like to know if there are any experts here that might be willing to help/guide me with the setup and installation of one of the free scripts I found to get it working and fit in the sidebar of my site? Thanks in advance . . .
Thanks for the info and I did check it out. I even signed up and have tried to paste the universal code into a website page and nothing works or shows up on the page. So I followed the instructions and have no clue why I can't get any of these scripts to work!!!!! Maybe I should just bag the whole idea. Thanks again for the suggestion
Hi Major Que. As you will have seen, there are plenty of them out there, free and ready to download and install. You should choose one of them, try to install it, and come back to request for help on the specific problems that you might encounter during the installation process or the operation of the script itself.
Have you asked their support ? Also did you check if you had any js conflicts when you had their code enabled ?
Thanks so much for your input. I did do some additional checking into all of this and found a script that I could get to work and have got it installed and appears to be working more or less the way I wanted. So I guess ya'll can consider this matter resolved. Cheers . . .
