Greeetings, I am looking for a script that does that following. - In an ini or configuration file, I define that I would like any mention on the word "venice" to be linked to a given url (ex:ht**://xyz.com/venice.shtml). - I then run a cgi program that parses through all of the files on the website and changes the word "venice" to a link to ht**://xyz.com/venice.shtml). It would not be a global replacement - just a single instance per file. - I would then be able to continually add to the ini file new terms that I would like to be linked. - Each time I run the file, it would only add the new terms as links to files. The old terms would remain same. (ex: If Venice was mentioned ten times on a page, it would still on have one link even after the program has been ten times.) - I would prefer that this script be in perl. Has anyone heard of such a script? Thanks.
I use a program called Actual Search and Replace but it would not be able to just make the change once per file it would change every instance throughout. http://www.AccurateInspections.com/bottomallbooks.html
