I'd like to start of by stating that I understand that the most important aspect of link building -- deciding which sites to link to -- cannot be automated. No software can take the place of good judgement. But there are tools out there that facilitate the process of maintaining a database of links, finding and contacting prospective link partners, and accepting/rejecting links requests, among other things. I have done some research on various link exchange programs and find that Arelis is most often mentioned in this context. Although I have only test-driven it, Arelis seems useful to the extent that it can a) tell you which sites link to your competitors and b) can tell you which sites are related to your business by doing simple keyword searches. In addition, it also creates HTML page link directories that you can easily upload. HOWEVER, there are other link exchange tools out there that I have seen used on various websites (e.g. Linksmanager.com) that have different functionality that might be useful as well. I am considering Linksmanager.com or Autolinkspro.com. FIRST QUESTION: Does anyone have any opinion on either of these two programs? These tools are different from Arelis in that they are intended to handle inbound link exchange requests rather than actively pursuing potential link exchange partners. The basically facilitate the process of replying to link requests rather than help with finding candidates for link exchanges. SECOND QUESTION: Does anyone know if Google frowns upon these kind of programs? Unlike Arelis, those two program reside on the server and might leave a "footprint." Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
When you don't know for sure... see what makes logical sense. Google has mentioned time and time again that they don't like link exchanges as they see it as primarily a way of gaming their algo. If they don't like link exchanging for purely SEO purposes they won't like programs that facilitate such activity. Whether you agree with that or not there is no disputing that a reciprocal link from a links.htm page is pretty easy for an SE to detect and ignore.
If you ask for safe link exchange software, I think arelis may be for you. Pros. 1. Find your specified partner by keywords, competitors 2. Send personal e-mail with easy template, not blanket e-mail like others software Cons. 1. Cannot show PR of partners it found. 2. If you need link page features with many sub-categories, Arelis may not for you. 3. most of smtp sent mail may be considered as spam. Please be careful while choosing smtp server to send your mail. Cheers, Sxperm
this was posted on here before and I found it to be a very useful tool to help you find some good link exchange partners...try it out http://www.webconfs.com/backlink-builder.php
though arelis is good but it has certain flaws - it need to do more internal processing and should be able to select possible partners instead of showing bluntly top 30 google results.
I am using Linkmachine and it seems great. The Premium version can be set up to do link exchanges with other Premium version uses. It sure is great if you are looking for a quick two way links with like sites.
