I am launching a new blog about a health niche next month. I won't disclose what the exact niche is but I will say that it is about treating a certain medical complaint that is incurable but not life threatening (like cancer) and effects millions of people in the UK and US alone. Having suffered from this incurable medical complaint myself since birth (31 years) I have quite a vast amount of knowledge about the treatments that are available, diets that can help, and even the best communities online to get help and support from. What I'm looking to do is monetize the blog with not only adverts (Adsense mainly but also other networks like Adsdaq, Kontera & Smowtion) but also affiliate links to treatments that I will be writing about. I've never stepped into affiliate marketing before. I'm looking for some suggestions of which affiliate networks to go with. My first thought was Clickbank. The medical condition is a skin-based one (not acne), would Clickbank be a good place to start? I did a quick search on Google and found markethealth.com. Has anyone tried them before? Can anyone recommend me any others?

Markethealth.com has been trusted for some years now. I've not tried them(yet) so I can't confirm but I've read both positive and negative stuff about them, although most of what I read was positive. You should consider joining them and see if they have offers relating to the health issue your blog is about......because most of the offers nowadays relate to weight loss or dental problems.

Even though you didn't reveal your exact niche there is a good chance that you find suitable affiliate program at markethealth affiliate network. It works like clickbank -- there are many merchants and you can promote any of them. Then you receive payment from all affiliate programs you have joined. However, this affiliate network is specialized on health and beauty products so you will probably find what you are looking for there.
