Hello everyone, I'm from Australia & have been working on a business directory website www.businessdirectory.com.au for quite some time now. I'm looking for someone that can fix the errors on the website, make the navigation better, get the search function working better & cleaning up the design a little. As you can tell it's a poor design & most of the features don't work to well, so I'm looking for someone that has experience in programming, web design, Mysql & also someone who can turn an average website into an amazing website. Country: REMOTE (Anywhere, as long as you speak good english & can understand what I'm trying to achieve) Scope: 1. First I would like to improve the design of the site, this would involve myself & you looking over the website and coming up some good suggestions on how we can improve the site. Everything from navigation, to design. The changes in the design wouldn't be huge, but as you can tell from looking at the site, it could easily be improved. 2. The navigation is terrible on the site, I've already got some suggestions as to how this can be fixed. 3. The search feature for the website is terrible, this needs to be improved in numerous ways. For example, if you search for the business name, it doesn't even show up in the results. Also the categories don't have tags, for example "Plumbers" should appear when users search for "plumbing" "plumber" etc... Also when users search they need to have the closest results appear, this shouldn't be hard to program since I'm only targeting Australian businesses. 4. The site has many errors, it must be looked over and have these small errors fixed. Time Frame: I need this job done ASAP. I'm running behind schedule at the moment so the faster the site gets fixed, the more I will pay. Budget: To be honest I don't really have a budget, I'm not looking to spend to much on this but I need it done. So quotes would be appreciated. Hi There, Greetings of the day !! I have been through with your website link and I am sorry to say but it doesn't looks like a professional site at all. It's not only navigation but it's entire site which is not looking good at all. Logo - identity of the business needs to be modified to make sure it looks professional. According to me there are lot many things on the site which needs to be amended. I am open for both the options where either we can design the entire site from scratch keeping everything in your budget / modifying the existing site as per the needs and requirements. As it's a business directory website so I am expecting lot number of users visiting the website, so it's must for us to meet the guidelines for website optimization and speed optimization. If you are looking for development changes , will it be possible for you to share the database schema and programming structure to get the idea as what they have done and how they have done it. It is very necessary for me to check the coding structure and database idea before commiting you on anything. Also, when you have initiated this project there must be some kind of requirement specification document which you must have prepared. Is it possible for you to pass on that document to get complete idea about list of features you are looking to implement on your website ? Greetings, I have gone through the website and can say that the template you choose is good but the developer did not justified the work with the template. This website will be up and running within a week.
