I have a web design site (for my make believe company) that I designed a few years ago and just thought maybe this summer instead of working I'd actullay seriously attempt to make enough income doing websites (and outsourcing sites) for people. I'm embrassed to post the site because at the time of it I knew nothing about seo so much of it is stuff spliced from photoshop. My goal is to get in the top 5 ratings in google for "Web Design Destin, Fl". Could you guys so me some simple web design sites that seo locally? Also any quick other marketing tips for getting local business (I'm thinking service ads in the newspaper).
I dont think getting number 1 for Web Design Destin, Fl would be that hard at all 163,000 results with some non relevant in the top 10 of Google. or this "Web Design Destin, Florida" not sure how much traffic it would generate though
I doubt I'll bring very many customers in through the search engines. I just need to revive my site and get some marketing tips. Guess I'll be heading over to the other forums soon =). By the way: my site is Here . I know there are alot of errors.
I have seen much worse sites (i probably own a few) I think you could do that by: 1. putting Web Design Destin, FLorida (Fl) in the title of your homepage. 2. repeat this term several times through out the homepage (and site) - in the H1, Start of the content, and at the end. 3. Put that text in one of the alt tags, your description and maybe a link from the home to a page about you and your "web design business in Destin Florida" 4. Go and get some strong relevant links, mix up the anchor terms you use: "florida web design , web design FL, web design in Florida" that kind of thing. Put it in your sig and submit up to some directories.. I think you would be not far off at a guess (i havent done any reasearch - so this is speculation).
