I believe you posted a site review over on sitepoint about 3 weeks ago. Myself and others made quite a few suggestions, none of which you seem to have taken onboard. As far as I can see the only change that you have made is to the graph on the homepage. If you are serious about your project then you have to be open to other peoples suggestions and ideas. The idea of asking for a review is that others will point out what is good and what needs to be changed. Posting the same site for a review here is only going to give you the same feedback that you got at sitepoint. Hey, I'm not trying to have a pop at you, just want to you to realise that sometimes an idea/design that seems great from your own perspective is not so hot to other people. As far as I was concerned, my website was a piece of pure genius... until I it posted for a review here. It's not easy to have people criticize your work, but you have to be able to accept the criticism and move forward. Sorry for being so harsh...
Thanks for the reply. I appreciate all the suggestions I received at Sitepoint and counting the graph (which was horrible) I implemented 5 of them. I'm glad I made those changes, they all made my site better and I'm fortunate that people at Sitepoint took the time to help me. I have been referring back to the thread at Sitepoint, and I'm trying to work with some more of the ideas posted there, but I'm not going to implement all of them. A lot of the ideas were good, but I just don't feel they're right for this site. I probably won't use all of the ideas that will be suggested in this thread, but I almost certainly will use some of them.
nice site i just made my first site what would you suggest I change www.puertovallartafish.com/allaboutvallarta.html thanks
I will just say straight up that the landing page made me click through to the second page. Doesn't matter if it is a pixel page or not. I went no further cause there are no pixels claimed. Claim a few for yourself or friends sites and post them back as available later when things start moving. Cheers! WineGuy
