    You will not find much directories for news site specific. I would like to suggest you use good PR general directories and submit your site in news category.

    You can submit your site at Links Hour - general directory.
    You should find the category you best fit into and join there.
    Its free for reciprocal links. Otherwise its just 1$/year, 3 for featured links!
    About the directory's PR - its still new but you'll see it climbing fast, I assure you we put a lot of efforts on it.

    You can also refer directorycritic for updated list.
