drig, I provided you with a great idea and it was one that 'made it into the 2nd round' of BS.
This idea is great, unquie, quality, and easy to monetize. You told me it would take too much money to get large, and not enough online involvement. I think you stated something about managing it as well.
Well all of that proves to be BS since you say you have a team, and you have money. You're only way out would be the 'not enough online involvement' which is BS. Basically you want a site that is 100% online only, and this is what, 95% or something.

BTW - I submitted my idea b/c it is something that I don't not have time for it (to start or run it) - and some other factors.

Should have read the entire thread so as to have seen that it was "closed"

I thought it was kind of hokish as well but had an idea which has been in the back of my mind for almost 10 years (since diablo came out)...

I know I'll never ever ever do anything with it and would love it if someone would so here it is in it's entirity...

    START IDEA

This has been floating around in my head for several years... I'll never move on it though...

    I'm a 30 something gamer.
    I loathe playing online games.
Not because I loathe the idea of playing online but because I hate all the people that I've found who play online. (Read into this preteens if you want)

The few times I've enjoyed playing online was when I managed to stumble across a group of people who had the same mindset as I do.

However, do to schedules its next to impossible for me (or for those in the same situation as me) to set a time to be online to play some specific game. So the chances of me running across someone likeminded is low.

    Enter the idea

Set up a bank of dedicated servers to host online games.

Charge PREMIUM $ for annual memberships. Something along the lines of $1k-$5k. This in and of itself will seriouslly curtail the clientele that's being targeted.

In addition to the membership fee, All members would have to provide proof of some set of membership requirements, be it age, location, etc.

In the end you'd end up with a customer base which is primarilly upper income / professional technologically savvy / white males / with large discretionary incomes.

This is a prime demographic for targeted advertising.

I'd also think about going so far as to set this up off the net. Create a landing page online for potential customers, but once membership has been paid for they're given access to the private server addresses.

The whole idea here is to instead of focusing on the internet at large, to focus in on a VERY VERY specific subset. which is counterbalanced by the VERY VERY high membership fee.

Also Also from where this guy is?! Did you asked for any address+ proof of identity?! did you even give him a phone call to verify him?! Did you act like a professionals and signed before some Do Not Disclosure acts?! If no .... take care... you should ask him to sign a DND act... I don't want to be rude, but this guy , even if he is a honest man , he negotiate very hard, he require all the ideas, but only want to pay some of them,etc,etc,etc... so why not all of you be taffy with him also?!

What if I told you I had a program that could record your keystrokes as text and save them to a file that anyone could read?
