Looking for NameCheap Customers

    Hi,

    i'll register a com domain @NameCheap. The Problem is that i must have a name server if i want to Forward the Domain to a IP. there is a example shown (ns1.mydomain.com) but if i set the Nameserver to this , is it necessary that there is a nameserver installed on the server from my webspace provider?

    Well, you do not need to install a nameserver on your server. You can always use a 3rd party nameserver or have it installed somewhere else. Some web host offers the use of their DNS Servers if you do not want to use yours.

    Although I have not done so but I remember that if you use the Namecheap DNS Servers, you can do the pointing to the IP and so on as necessary for normal usage.
