If you are in the US -and- you are not considered a high-risk business, you may want to look at Costco (yes, the wholesale club). They have some pretty aggressive rates: http://shop.costco.com/Services/Index We've been using them for well over 10 years. -Bing
Costco, who outsources their processing to Elavon, is at the higher end of cost when compared to competitive merchant account providers in the US. Their base rate is fairly competitive but their downgrade and other fees which usually compose 50 - 75% of a merchant's monthly bill are much higher. There's not the worst out there, but there are certainly cheaper and better servicing companies in the US. As to the original poster, are you in the US, or are you just trying to sell to US businesses? If you're not in the US, US customers can still make a payment to you as long as you use a bank or processor that allows you to accept standard Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover credit cards.
Provide scheme in more detail. From where you sell to US, what u sell, volumes cb rates, etc. With no info its difficult to give any advice, use PM if you have any upcomming questions
Hi, If you are looking to process payments exclusively online, then a 3rd party payment processor woould probably be your best option. Depending on your industry and number of transactions you are planning on collecting AlertPay might be a viable option. Thanks, ChriZ Online Community Support AlertPay.com
Moneybookers as well as alertpay are really useful and reliable services in my opinion. A lot of marketers also use 1shoppingcart which is pretty useful if you do any email marketing along with it as well.
