All, It looks like finding a partner is a common use of this forum, and I'd like to add my request to all of the others. I'm in my late twenties, and I have a successful track record starting and running a business. I have a idea for a business that I've been developing for several months, and I'm to the stage that I need to begin creating the website. I was a programmer/DBA in a former career, LAMP, Perl, Python, etc. My problem is I have a career in the telecommunications industry, and I don't have the time to invest in what promises to be a very complex, in depth programming project. I can provide a great deal of support, have informed discussions about how the work should be accomplished, I just don't have the time to do the actual coding. I considered hiring freelancers to create the site, but I believe the long-term benefits of having a partner who can focus on the development of the project will far outweigh any savings that would be achieved by outsourcing the work. The project will result in an a web-service which will be sold to a niche business. It's nothing spectacular, new, or trendy. It's taking a concept that has proven itself in people's social life, and adapting it for business use. I'm very confident that if I can find a competent developer to design and program the web-service, I'll be able to sell it.
