So...I'm trying to put together some templates to sell here on DP. I have the skills, but every door is getting slammed in my face by licenses. I made a total jackass of myself in the Contests forum when a guy called me out on one of my designs....thanks steveorm (with some numbers behind his name);).

I KNOW that all of the people here aren't using legal stuff in some of their designs, but I want to make sure my stuff is legit, and legal. When I sell a template, logo, etc, I want to be able to include the licenses in the package to my clients.

I didn't use images right off Google...I was at least utilizing royalty-free sites, but it was brought to my attention that that wasn't good enough.

I need resources! Legal ones that don't cost an arm and a leg. Am I going to have to do photos and everything myself. Is there a trick? I really need some help so that I can start generating income.

I am offering the following in return:

    - Free link on my blog
    -OR-
    - A free design using my new resources

Please help me get on my feet. Thanks in advance.

You can use Open images from Creative Commons. Some require that you provide credit / recognition. Creative commons: http://creativecommons.org/

Unfortunately, licensing non-open images for templates can be expensive...

    Good luck :)
