Looking for "Lead Generation" Ideas

We're looking to generate "weight loss" leads - people who are interested in trying a free sample of a poplular weight loss product.

We'd like to generate 50-100 leads per day, for less than $2 each. (Goals).

We tried a co-registration lead program, and the leads were crap.

We've gotten some good leads through Adwords, but the cost per conversion is over $10 each.

I was wondering if we could build or own affiliate program and market to health websites? Anyone know where I could start with something like this?

Any other ideas or input would be appreciated.

    Regards,

I am an expert in lead generation. I work stealth lead gen development for a number of companies in mortgage, insurance, and even some bizop / retail bizop products and average around $1mm a month in production.

50 - 100 @ <$2.00 for a qualified lead is doable. But you're going to need to invest a lot of sweat equity to get there.

The only way to generate a qualified lead like you describe at that price point is:

    1) With unscrupulous spammers. Heavy risk involved to save a couple of bucks a lead.

    2) Hard managing a keyword, intersatial, or blog campaign. Go and do buys from adbrite / google / text-ad-links / pay-per-post / etc.

Bottom line if your time has a cheap $$$ value you can do it. But you aren't going to find anybody legit at that price point.

PM me and I can help you out on developing a CPA campaign that works.

Seperately, I would encourage you to work backwards from the ROI you have on the product. For instance:

    1) Let's say each diet product you sell is worth $25.00 profit.

    2) If you buy 10 leads @ $2.00 a pop you have $20.00 in lead cost. Maybe they close 1 / 10 or so. That gives you a $20 aquisition cost & $5.00 profit. But how much work goes into those 10 leads?

    3) You work on a campaign to develop a 1/3 close lead that costs $7 a pop. Well now your lead cost & aquisition cost = $21.00. Which is $4.00 profit. But if you're calling 1/3 of the leads, or dealing with 1/3 of the CS, or 1/3 of the publishers etc. . . you get the point.

Drop me a line if i can help.
