Where can I find a free keyword tool that will also give the Keyword Effectiveness Index (KEI), for a list of keywords?
https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal and google search. Use KEI=p^2/C where p- popularity of the keyword C- competition for that keyword (pages in search result)
Thanks for the info, Matt's keyword package looks awesome it includes tutorial videos, I will report back when I've checked it out. Why is the p squared in the KEI formula? I have tried the Google Keyword Tool but couldn't find the KEI.
traffictravis dot com , it is a free trail of limitation upto 200 results , its has more features and a nice import export feature with analysis in three diff search engines... it is cool , try it
Param p is "Approx Avg Search Volume" column from KeywordToolExternal result. You can read http://www.wordtracker.com/database_help/keihelp.html about topic

Wow, I just came in keywords forum after weeks to post my KEI tool and saw this thread anyway you can download the excel file from this post (read the content too). Everything is self explanatory though if you found something confusing then feel free to PM me. Cheers
Matt's keyword tool is basic but useful, the tutorial is good & being free it's a no-brainer. Traffic Travis has more features & a neat built in tutorial but Matt's tutorial is better & I prefer his keyword finder. I have some links here: http://www.dynamata.com/phpld/index.php?c=8
