Hi, I've this select: <select id="control_1" name="cat"> <optgroup label="Mountain"> <option>Gudauri</option> <option>Bakuriani</option> <option>Svaneti</option> </optgroup> <optgroup label="Seaside"> <option>Batumi</option> <option>Kobuleti</option> <option>Kvariati</option> </optgroup> <optgroup label="Capital"> <option>Tbilisi</option> </optgroup> </select> Code (markup): I want jquery to rewrite this into a ul li structure. The whole thing should be under 1 single dropdown, but optogroups should be separate ul's with different ids so I can make them different color. I will do css myself, you just need to write jquery for me. Final result I want to attain is this: Functionality: 1) It should add display:none to select that we are rewriting. 2) Should work cross browser and on ie-7 3) Should degrade gracefully when javascript is disabled (hence #1 point display:none. 4) Checkboxes can be a background, just make jquery add special class to selected items. So I can style them with checkbox on/off. 5) Code should be clean and short 6) Don't get confused, this is NOT a multiple select. So only 1 checkbox is clickable and selectable per drop. Please don't waste my time, contact me if you really can do this. I will pay 25$ for this. S.
