I used to be a regular member of this forum some time back, but with changes in my life, I had to go away for a while. Now I'm back, and since I've lost touch with all my earlier customers, am sending out a call for site owners who need high-quality articles, and are willing to pay for the quality. I'm able to provide links to my earlier work/ samples. I used to work in the range of 5-15 cents a word, and handled a wide spectrum of topics, from domaining to cars and health to gardening. I hope to find that kind of work again. Please pm me if interested in customized, well-written, in-depth articles. (Since I'm begnning again, am willing to take slightly lower pay, but will not write 1-cent-a-word and SEO articles. They have their place,... but not my cup of tea.)
5 cents a word is $25 for a 500 word article. 15 cents a word is is $75 for a 500 word article. 1 cent a word is $5 for a 500 word article I hope you understand why your expectation is absurd, and why it's impossible to believe that you were paid $25-$75 an article. No one pays that for an article. Buying 10 articles a week will cost $250-$750? Spending $1000-$3000 on ARTICLES per MONTH? I wish you luck on your journey....
Thanks for your comment and your wishes. I got work before, and I'm sure I'll get work again. There are takers for quantity, who need sixty 5-dollar articles a month, but there are also takers for quality. I'm sure the latter still exist on this forum.
lol look at the BST section and you'll be in for a surprise if you believe what you claim to believe. And it doesn't even matter about "quality," at your prices, anyone can undercut your prices and flush you out of the market I mean, a key aspect of maarketing is learning how to price and valuate, and I believe your metrics are uncalibrated. Also...come on...economics of supply and demand...Prices are low not because of low quality, but incredible ease of production.
"Incredible ease of production" is exactly my point---the most in-depth articles are NOT the easiest to produce. That is why this thread is here, not in the BST. I did hit the BST sometimes, but that was a different quality, different price (and I might do so again, but that is my prerogative). That said, I'd appreciate it if you'd concentrate on your own market instead of worrying about mine. I'll not reply to further comments from you, so here's wishing you all the best.
I love someone who will read and not respond, that means they're learning: Ease of production means ease of excellence; again, not lack of quality. Yes it is easy to produce excellent articles that are well researched, that's why people write for a living. It isn't difficult to do something that has been done in school since age 5. It isn't difficult to create 1000 words in 30 minutes and send fantastic numbers of visitors to a site. Please be honest, at least to someone you're speaking to directly; you can trick people buying from you whenever. You shouldn't fool your customers into thinking they're actually getting 500 words worth $25-$75. That is simply dishonest and bad karma. They will not be repeat customers, and we both know that, and that's why you're setting that price: You want the funds, not the continuous relationship with your clients. Most people who purchase articles are hoping for good value for their buck, and we both know that 5 $5 500 word articles that are unique is enough to get a blog accepted to adsense, and that's step one on doing the maarketer's job to "Help your client succeed." We also both know that on a free forum, there is not the demand for that type of service, because without proof of quality, there simply won't be a maarketable stock of buyers. I read some of your Published Writing, and would suggest a more updated and polished porrtfolio. Perhaps placing something you think is worth $25-$75 per 500 words? EDIT: Moderator should delete this thread; received contact asking for my writing services...essentially outlining the exact problem with overpricing and what I was trying to stop. You are hemorrhaging clients, but that's your prerogative indeed. I tried to help make sense of the fact that offering a product 500% above market value isn't a good idea here and would lead to frustration because you aren't the first who has tried to do that here.
I love someone who would waste time on taunting others rather than devote it to working for himself/ herself. More business for me. While you've been busy putting down my work, I've PMed a sample, and got my first assignment. It is not big, but it pays well for the first article, and it's a start. (I've also got PMs from other writers asking to work with me, which is quite another story. The forum has really changed.) Congratulations on making me break my silence---I was too amused to resist. It is folks like you who believe all writing is easy and that anything can be bought for 5 dollars who bring down the entire market. Not everything is about bringing visitors to your blog. I'm sure you'll reply with an even more sarcastic and accusatory comment, and I guess I'll just have to thank you in advance for the free entertainment. This time, I shall try and remain silent. Flaming might be your style/ hobby, but I've got work to do.
I've never seen work for more than .02 to .03 on here, but I'm sure it is here occasionally. If you have the skills to back up your word, than someone is going to start you at .03 and bump you up higher. I don't know how long it has been since you were last here for work, but I've heard lower paying jobs started flooding this forum over the last few years. It won't be easy for you to get that rate of pay here now, though, even if you do have a fantastic writing ability. I hope you do. Good luck
Thanks. I was on here about 3-4 years ago. I'll continue looking, because the customers I wrote for needed full rights to well-researched niche articles, not just for online but offline publications as well. I've begun work, and though the pay isn't what I'd love, it is what I can live with.
all the best man. one thing the time who wrote articles was when many didn't take up these kind of jobs and this industry is saturated
