Hi everyone, We are considering setting up an affiliate program to market our online storefront service. We currently have a reseller program which allows webmasters to sign up their clients for our shopping cart service. Resellers are paid a recurring commission of 50% of all money collected from a referred client for the first year and 25% thereafter. It seems like it will be easiest to build the affiliate system into our existing reseller program, and we prefer to pay commissions on recurring revenue. My feelings are that the affiliate should receive a recurring 50% commission for the first 3 months revenue. Does this seem like enough? Will it interest affiliates enough to get them to really promote our service? We're also talking to a fellow who used to be a reseller for our hosting company about becoming a "master" affiliate. What kind of commission should we pay him? Basically, he'll be out recruiting other affiliates for us, designing banners, etc. Any adfvice will be greatly appreciated!
