I maintain a website for a chain of car dealerships. In general we have little problems with SEO but 4 different search terms continue to vex me. I cant seem to break the 8th position on Google. I have looked at and analyzed the sites above us for why they rank higher and i cant figure it out. our page rank is higher we have more back links our seo optimization appears to be better. They are not even very high competition terms. PLEASE HELP! I only checked your first keyword, and you are right, at least 5 sites above you appear to be less optimized than yours. You could do with the word Hyundai in your desc, then continue to build links. Do you update the page often? Do the others? Could come down to their age, or a few really quality backlinks separating you from them. DD
yes the site is updated regularly it is a much older site then many of the site above it as well. we have far more back links and our page rank is higher as well. Hyundai is in our description but its a little ways back i could easily move it forward but i thought Google didn't really look at the description any more?. many of our back links are very high quality as well. Because we are a new car dealer for 7 brands and maintain relationships with many quality sites (cars.com beepbeep.com autotrader.com ect....)
Also don't know if anyone is a car fanatic but im also looking for good car forums to post on that allow signature links that are not nofollow. there are TONS of car forums but every one i have checked is nofollow!
