In my experience I used two paid hosting services so far one is hosting24 and I had a horrible time with their hosting then I cancelled their service just after one month and shifted to Hostgator with this hosting everything runs fine and smooth.

I would say go for hostgator. The main reason : less down time . Once i had sent a letter to them asking to remove the copied content on one of their customers site and they never did anything. Just kept replying back to my emails. They don't have instant actions. (So as per your question, hostgator would be the best for you)
