any recommendations for good stock photos? Actually, has anyone tried Getty images? They seem to have the most and widest range of photos, but don't they cost alot? thanks.
I've had good luck at http://www.morguefile.com/ free and royalty free. Permissions vary a bit depending on the photographer.
http://www.istockphotos.com - as seen above http://www.istockpro.com/ pro version of link above http://www.sxc.hu/ Free Getty could possible be the best, but its not cheap
This is a great post, I was looking for some good photo resources just yesterday. I'm on a budget diet so FREE is just perfect! Thx ALL
I have some free stock photos up to use. Not many, but free: If this is against the rules, please delete this post. I'm not selling the stock photos, but I don't want to break any rules...... http://www.adigitaldreamer.com/freestock/freestockphotos.htm Feel free to download any of those Brian
I went the free route for years... eventually got to the point where I started stealing because the free ones weren't cutting it. Then I discovered photos.com.... Saved up $350 and have been downloading unlimited amount of photos that I want. If you do it right you can get photos for cheap and they provide high resolutions for print. Anyways, if your that short on cash stick to the free ones until you have enough money...sxc.hu has been descent to me...
Do you think it's better than www.istockphoto.com ? Istockphoto charges b/w $1-$3 per photo. Can't get better than that?
I just stumbled on this great article about free photographs. Enjoy: http://www.masternewmedia.org/news/2005/04/01/where_to_find_free_images.htm
adobe bridge (with photoshop) lets you search for royalty free images. You then have the option to pay for high resolution images. But the thing is the low res free ones are not bad at all.
