Hi all, I've been working on a Logo Design Contest website alongside a developer for the past few months and I'm looking for feedback. Please know that the majority of work thus far has been on the functionality of the website and I've had extensive modifications done to get that desired functionality. I know the design still needs work, so I am looking for suggestions on that, as well as page load times, general navigation, layout, etc. We've already had several contests launched and completed successfully, but I haven't received much user feedback as of yet. I appreciate any and all feedback. URL: https://apluslogos.com Thanks in advance!
Hi Steve, So, I went through your website here are some suggestions: 1: Please make your site more graphically rich. 2: Try to combine your CSS files into 1 or fewer files to reduce page load up time & try the same for Javascript files also.
Not trying to be negative. Just honest and constructive feedback here. Any particular reason you require login to view entries for currently running contests? As a buyer, I'd like to be able to see entries in current contests before signing up. The site is a little slow for me. Maybe temporary, maybe not. I would remove the "Start your free contest" button in the middle of the homepage. There are 4 "Start contest" buttons on the homepage - navigation, sidebar, top, and bottom of the content. That's too many call-to-actions and looks spammy. The logo for your site is not too impressive, imo. Being that your site sells logo designs, you should really have a very impactful logo yourself. Is it free to create a contest or not? Part of the site says it's free, but part of it says there's a $19 fee. This should be more clear.
I like that the site is simple, but there is too much uneven white space. For example the footer has a lot of text in the first column and almost nothing in the third. You might benefit from a semi-transparent background image to break things up. Also, the contest winners look like ads, not people and businesses. You might simply have text links there and then show the winning logos on another page.
