How long were you on 1 for? How much have you dropped? What changes did you make recently? Do you have a time frame of the changes you have made? You could be hitting up another datacenter at the time of checking. Dont forget that places fluctuate, you may be number 1 still occasionally. If you mess with your site you could loose alot of ranking, IMO you should leave your on page seo and do some off page seo to try and get it back. Try some link building in the mean time, but remember to use a variety of anchor keywords. balls
