Hello, I would like to publish an ebook. The ebook will be distributed free of charge (any one can have it) however i want to prevent people to copy/paste or edit pieces. Printing out is fine. Additionally i want it to run on as many platforms as possible The Document is already written in Word Document so it should be easily be transferred one way or the other However the most important criteria is the first one and that it can not be "cracked" like i readon pdf can easily! Thank you for your help
Well, I guess then my question is how to protect it best possible? I understand that somebody can start typing up a book too, however thats rather efforting and 99% wouldnt do that!
So i did some more research - PDF to Flash seems a very good solution, however i have not find the option for printing or if one could email the Flash file. I found the option to do pdf to epub and then used DEsktop author, however then I am stuck with a exe file which doesnt work with all systems. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Years ago I shelled out to get Adobe Acrobat Professional. It has more than paid for itself! Lets me create in Word, save as .pdf - or jpeg if I want. And it lets me password-protect any .pdf document. This means I can protect my words from being easily modified. If someone is determined enough to retype your entire tome into their Word documents, no one can stop that. But this most certainly can password-protect documents. Hope this helps! Dot
It is impossible to do. Websites like Clickbank and PayTomCom are having millions of dollar's losses because of this. However you can tell your readers " Please don't share this ebook.I am begging" This might work.
