i'm actually curious about it and wanted to ask if it's possible to find a good services that provide it for cheap. i did look into godaddy and hostgator. but i don't have money or any way to get my own domain name and DNS settings like: erg ns1store ns2store to point at. along with name such as erg Dark Records stuff like that i'm looking for these services to help me start up my first adult store (been working on it for weeks and hoping to launch it soon) as well to add an blog to go with it (already using a wordpress blog for it as a site's blog area for updates and more) hmm.. i'm not sure what to think of those services, but i'm also looking to create and host few adult websites plus forums to go with what i want to do. so i want to ask, which service is better for adult uses? if so, i'd like to hear about it. it's heck of time to do this because i'm definitely going into something that i think will be biggest move i have ever done. and i want to do the best for my community out here. i cannot exactly say what i do in adult, but i'm just looking for help with these services. only two services i have heard are good for adult: hostgater (not sure about it, but prices are fairly good) godaddy (leaning towards to it because prices seem good enough) so it's my dilemma. i'm not sure if here are any service out here that allows adult content.
GoDaddy has a bad reputation for hosting and there is a reason for that. If the choice is between GoDaddy and HostGator, I'd choose HostGator every time. (HG has reportedly worked out the problems they had following their move to the Provo, Utah, data center including very long waits for replies from technical support.) Most web hosts allow adult content as long as it is not illegal.
Bare in mind that most shared hosting have a strick no no for adult content, big names for most. You can try Web Hosting Talk forums, you will find hundreds of deals a pretty good prices.
Hmm... Not too good experience with godaddy. I personally use asphostportal to host my blog. So far so good.
Bit company doesn't mean quality company, having many clients, they don't care well of all their clients IMHO.
LargestWebHosting has a list of comparison table of web hosting providers. Domain name prices (renewable yearly) are quite standard nowadays. Web hosting prices prices (renewable yearly) are competitive. The common challenge about hosting is the uptime and next is bandwidth.
I have used two services for 20 years and the total price has gone down while service got better 123cheapdomains.com Bluehost.com I have nothing bad to say about either.
Bluehost is a good choice. I heard lots of bad experiences with Go daddy hosting but mine was quite different.
well thank you all for your suggestions, i chose to go with HostGator for this year when i can get around to it.
