Hello Everybody! I am looking for domain name registrars who are reliable. I know that the domain names dont make a difference from where you register, but i think sometimes certain domain name registrars are given preferences in certain areas. For instance, Network solutions is great for registreing domains and Also Yahoo. Why the differnce in price if both are giving out the same thing. I also need to know who is the best hosting provider in Linux and Windows seperately. Bluehost seems to be good so far for me and i have hosted a couple of sites on IpowerWeb too. But more suggestions !!! I would love if someone will give me a detailed list. Regards Rajeev
Reasons: 1. They're both offering domain name registrations. But they're not necessarily giving out the same add-ons, type of support, etc. 2. What many of you probably didn't know is that Yahoo is currently a reseller for Melbourne IT. They're pretty much at Melbourne IT's mercy for all of their domain name registration and management needs. 3. Network Solutions is a real registrar like Melbourne IT. Resellers still have to approach their registrar partners for complex problems while registrars handle them head-on. Bottom line: it's their business models. What they're offering, to whom they're marketing to, etc. I wouldn't recommend either one unless you know what you're doing. If I were to choose between them, though, I'd choose NetSol because they can do a lot more than Yahoo can for domain name issues. Unfortunately you're not going to get any objective recommendations for any registrar that's "reliable". So if you're willing to accept subjective suggestions anyway, then I suggest Namecheap, Enom, and Moniker. (all .com) For hosting, that's a different story. But at the top of my head, hostgator.
Seems Like host gator is the one most people prefer. I will try out the service for one of my domains . If there is anymore please do let me know. Thanks a lot to all who posted. Regards Rajeev
did you purposely exclude exclude hostgator from the poll? Your poll looks to much like Tide detergent commercial: #1 brand I want to promote other leading brand other leading brand
