Looking for Directory Sites to Partner up with

I'm going to be launching a new site very soon. This site is pretty unique and a chance for any PR4, PR5 directories to get publicitiy (perhaps lots).

I'm looking for any PR4-PR5 directories to partner up with for the first few months. Your site will be reviewed by me first for the partnership.

Once I complete my site I will get back to anyone who is interested (should be within 3 days)---I realized its not as unique as I thought it was. Theres probably 2-3 similiar to mine, but I can tell you the application I built is much more neater and adds a small simple feature that their's dont have.

Anyways, partnership would require directory sites to link to my site and also contain a link to my site in their "Successfull submission letters and approved letters". If this tool ends up being "handy", it will target many webmasters and manual submission services---perfect demographic for directory owners.

Does partnering up on web sites / directories happen frequently? I've only heard of it in places like universities (think google here) but never since.

If this happens in the real life (not corporations) how does it usually work? How many partners and what are their roles (eg. 1 programmer / 1 admin / 1 financial backer)? How about profit sharing?

Any comments on this would be appreciated, though i think it might be a bit off topic. I will gladly give you a link LeopardAt1 but I am still waiting for my 1st PR update, EAD is only a few weeks old right now.

 

I think he means more like partnering up to offer each other customers something, not really partner up in a business venture.

 

I guess it depends on how you will promote your directory. I have this one I'm thinking of using for the partnership thing (the directory is going to be PR5 in the next update), but how are you going to promote yours?

I'm interested too, directories are in the sig.

 

That means i do not qualify cause i do not like straining my server just to send confirmation email that we got your submission and we rejected it or not.
