Looking for directory script

    Hi!
I'm looking for a PHP directory script to set up my own link directory. It must have the following features:
    • completely customizable frontend
    • no backlink to the script's homepage (I'm willing to pay for that)
    • "reciprocal" links management (automated backlink-check, etc.)
    • "reciprocal" means, that the webmaster must link back to one of my URLs (which is not necessarily the directory's URL)
    • webmasters can easily add their links with all necessary information
    • admin can easily accept or deny the link

    Would be nice to have:
    • nice commented source code so that I can add functionality
    • function to check the reciprocal backlink's pagerank (I want to be able to only accept backlinks with a minimal PR)
Can anyone help? The most important feature is that the URL to link back needn't to be the directory's URL.
    Btw. I don't like phplinkdirectory!

    Thanks for your help,
    Vincent

php Link Directory offers all of those in the newer versions. V3.04 should be out any day now.

Take a look at eSyndiCat http://www.esyndicat.com. The new Pro 1.2 version should be out by May 1st.

    Really all of them?

I don't like it because so many webmasters use it and some SEOs made assumptions that Google penalizes users of phplinkdirectory ...

But maybe I can customize it in a way so that Google cannot recognize that I'm using the same script as anyone else ...

All of them except the comments in the code, but phpLD is easy to work around in, IMO.

If I were you, I would hold of, just a couple of days on the release of 3.04. It is an upgrade, just to fix any known bugs that exist.

As far as being penalized by Google, take a look at my Blog Directory in my sig. Over 9k pages indexed and PR 5(Before Google went PR happy).

    Thanks Honey.

Not a bad idea about the mods. Although, I don't make many of them myself, I might post a few that I have.
