Hello, I am looking to start submitting articles to online directories and would like some suggestions on which ones are worth using. The subject will be about making money Would appreciate a small list.

The advice I got was that only submit to the top 5 directories (there may be other opinions regarding this). vretoolbar lists the Top 50 Article Directories By Traffic and Pagerank: http://www.vretoolbar.com/articles/directories.php
I generally only submit to the top directories, but I've recently started submitting to articlerich.com as well, and I quite like them. If you like, you can pay a small fee and get your articles posted within 24 hours. Google seems to index them right away, so if you're looking to get a site indexed fast, and have no other means to do it, you can submit to them and for a dollar or so, and have your site indexed within a day, assuming you link to it in your resource box.
I've had alot of success with Amazines, Go Articles, Article Snatch, and most recently, Rysite. On Rysite, they also tweet your article to followers in each category.
