    Hello,

I am looking for a dedicated server to host social networking site run on Drupal. I am looking for some advices for reliable, friendly service with good price.

I can see that with use of some coupons I can get dedicated hosting @ Godaddy for as little as 59.99 per month (Celeron 2,0, 1024Mb RAM). What do you think about that? How many visitors can such configuration survive?

    Reps given for help!

Well, thats a good question. The idea was to take the cheapest thing for now, thats the godaddy one i described in my first post. And if project is succesful I would go for the best there is at godaddy. My question is, does anybody have any experience with godaddy?

    Thanks for the tip.

When looking for a dedicated server, what would you say is the most important - lots of RAM, or big processor power?

SoftLayer.net is one of my favorites, though lately they've been having some uptime issues.

They're actually competent though and not resellers (EX: serverbeach is reselling from ThePlanet, etc.)

Actually they're the old The Planet guys :)

Are you sure you even need a dedicated server yet? It's a lot of cost and administration if you don't.

I've always used EV1 with great success, they are now the planet.
