Hello, I'm running a tennis fan website which is about to be completely revamped as it's grown in popularity rapidly. I receive nearly 1k uniques and it's only been running for around a week. I'm looking for someone to offer me free dedicated hosting in return I'll link you on the website / put a small banner up on the link's pages. I'm also trying to get official word from this player for it to become the official website. But I need to get this setup pretty soon once the update is done I expect a traffic explosion. I'm not that well versed in the technicalities of hosting to be honest. I'll need some hard drive space for the database and the script and photographs . So not that much . I expect in a few months time to be receiving at least 3k-5k a day. A the moment its around 1k a day and it's in the first week. It uses approximately 1gb a week this will increase though with the new design and as the page gets more popular. Whats important to me is the loading time really.
Hello. Based on what you stated, I don't think you need 'dedicated hosting' as in a dedicated server, but as in good reliable hosting with great support. I can easily support your needs, even as you continue to grow on my server. I've been hosting for over 3 years and do not have any restrictions (both resource or file size, etc.) on my accounts. You'd be hosted on my main server which is a dual quad-core Xeon for CPU, 8 GB RAM, a couple 150GB Raptor HDs in RAID 1 array, 1 160GB backup HD, 10Mbit line unmetered, and I do full weekly backups to a remote location. I'd be able to give you plenty of space and bandwidth. I know that might be a bit too technical but it basically means it's a very fast and powerful server and will have no problems hosting your site. As of now you don't need a Dedicated server a shared hosting package would be able to handle your website traffic and load. Later you can switch to VPS or Dedicated server.
wow! greedy much? you get 1k unique and now you're king of the hill =D. You need shared max, maybe VPS, which is a stretch. good luck find a host though
