Looking for Dedicated Server for live streaming (youtube/ustream)

I'm looking for a dedicated server that can handle a lot of traffic and handles streaming live (ustream) and non-live (youtube). I want the server to handle a constant traffic of 500+ live video streams and 50,000+ unique views. As for location I'd prefer Central/East US or EU, but all suggestions are welcome.
    Budget is undecided/no issue.

It'd be helpful to know how much transfer you expect. The number of streams and number of views tells us nothing about the amount of bandwidth you will require.

As you wish to have servers located in the US, I'd suggest you to checkout BODhost.com as they will be able to offer you higher configuration dedicated servers depending on your needs and you could also choose a load balancing solution with them. The best part of their hosting services which I personally like is the fact that the servers they provide are fully managed with round the clock support.

You'd better say which configuration of server you need and we will recommend you something. Can you please at least let us know where have you been hosted that before?

I'd say you need about 500Mbit bandwidth for 500+ live streams, about 1Mbps for each user in case of middle quality content.
It's a good idea to have one server for website front page and all html content and several streaming sites with unmetered bandwidth.

Just to clarify, youtube and ustream puts no load onto your website, that's all external. All you need to do is support enough users reaching your website and loading your pages up, as after your page is loaded the embedded content is putting strain on their servers, not yours. So if you're having 500 people online watching a ustream live broadcast, all you need to do is support those 500 users loading up your website, not the content embedded. If you're using something like wordpress, this could be an issue as it may struggle with MYSQL.

My suggestions on servers for you, if you're looking for a dedicated server:

Softlayer - High in price amazing in support.
OVH - Low in price, slow in support.

(Edit - Once more to clarify, if you want 500+ live video streams supported without your server crashing, then it's 500x your page loading, not 500x the video playing)

Not sure why you would need a special hosting arrangement for YouTube videos. They are all hosted on their site. That is why Youtube is so successful.
