I'd like to hear some other people's opinion on this page: http://jforcegames.com/?page=ourgame

Obviously the goal here is to get newsletter sign ups so that once we release our game, we can notify a large amount of people in a short amount of time. Part of me thinks that what I've written here is sorta lame, but most of me thinks it will increase sign ups.

What do you think? Would you sign up if you were a gamer?

EDIT: I changed it already. It's pretty normal now, so...meh.

The fonts and colors make me want to leave the page immediately. There's no point in using bold at the beginning of that page if you're going to use it on everything there.

I agree about the bold. I changed it, and it looks better. But what don't you like about the colors? Is it the black on gray?

And I already changed what it said, based on some other's opinions.

A typical game site...but it works good.

Yes, the black on gray just isn't the easiest on the eyes. Whenever I see a site using any kind of dark background behind text of any color, I leave immediately.

I agree with Jen but I do think the target market does like this scheme. If you want to test it, you simply make that background a lighter gray. But again, it's a color scheme that both the gaming target as well as the muscle-building target really seem to like.

It took me a second to figure out I needed to click a link to get to the answer. So I think it could work a bit faster. You only have 8 seconds.
