Hello all. I am planning to start with the development of a new CMS system that will be better, easier and much more powerful as well as flexible than al systems existing till date. Since this is going to be a big project, i am looking for co-coders to help me with it.

PS: Mods if this is not the best forum for this topic, please move it to the appropriate one. Thank You.

Man, you're CRAZY! -- I don't mean it in the bad way!

there are so many free CMS software that its really dumb to start new one and I'll explain why --
1st this is large project -- approximately 20,000 lines of code without many extras
2nd support on this kind of projects is around 80% of the effort.
3rd taking the previous two into account you will need
    a) huge investment $$$,$$$
    b) 2+ full time developers for about 3-4 months
    c) 2+ supporters for few years

take a look on the other CMS development sites. See that small 2-3 developer projects died in the first few months and only about 2-5% were successful in having stable public releases.

Joomla for example is 15+ developers + huge community
    Wordpress 30+ developers + 2 mil users
ModX 5+ developers +4 volunteer supporters +100k users

so, if that's a commercial software, you need large investor, if its free software .. well .. not good.

    Cheers,
    Venetsian.
