Looking for CJ Stats

Discussion in 'Commission Junction' started by jawinn, Apr 7, 2006.

I just signed up with CJ, so far I like them. How long does it take to get stats on my ads’ performance, clicks and purchases? I know they had issues with reporting recently so I'm asking this of people who have used them for a while.

    thx

The first day I signed up it took a whole day to see the stats from the first day. But after that it seems to update a few times a day but I have yet figured out how and when they do it.

Basically they update whenever they want to.

clicks are updated very often, I would say every 2/3 hours.
purchases, it depends on the merchant, it can even take 72 hours.

Are there any merchants in particular you've noticed take 72 hours to update?

I've started using FlyCell. I know I'm getting clicks but I don't know if I'm getting conversions yet because the stats seem to lag.

Most people I know make -0- from CJ, despite high pageviews, etc. I have one very niche allfilliate that I make money from, otherwise, for me, their ads have been a waste of web space.

Yes, some Batch Process Transactions Advertises can take some days to update.

Just check your advertiser page to see if it has this info:

    Batch Process Transactions: Yes/No

I think that only rough 10~20% of the advertises uses Batch Process.

Personally the reporting is some of the best I have seen yet of any affiliate marketing system out there. A bit delayed, but if you are performing, it works quite well. Have some patience.

Exactly. I have 1 merchant that process batches only during business days, so to see sales from friday, sat. and sun. I have to wait until Monday.

So if a merchant doesn't run batches, then you should see conversions almost immediately. Is that correct?

Average time for a conversion to post from a non-batch merchant is about an hour and a half from the time of sale. Conversions usually post a few minutes after the top of the hour. As was said earlier, clicks post every 2 hours or so.

CJ is far from useless... IMO, it has to be well integrated and not like an ad.

CJ stats are supposed to be almost real-time, but depending on the network load and other factors can be delayed several hours. Like someone mentioned some merchants do batch uploading of data which could mean big delays. But it tells you on their detail sheet if that are a batch merchant, I think,

You can set up CJ to report statistics as they occur throughout the day. Edit in the reports area. A popup window will appear. Select today. I believe the default lags a day behind.

    Q...
