    preferably the cheaper the better with the basics included. Something like PHP, MySQL etc... I know go daddy is a pretty good offer, but I think that is American and I would like to stay on this side of the border if possible.

    Hey Newcomputer - who is your ISP? Telus/Shaw? If you are upto a little work you can get a static IP onto a DSL connection from your ISP, put up a firewall and get a second hand computer for a few hundred bucks and you can be your own host. Alternatively check out this link for a list of hosting companies.
