Creative Google searches for site:.edu inurl:blog +comment (and variations) will find you plenty, you just need to then go through the thousands and find the dofollow ones, which in all honesty is a long job but well worthwhile if you believe edu links are the business.... Which I do not ;-)

It's about the amount of effort you have to put in vs the rewards. .edu links can be a lot harder to find (so they take more of your time to get) than other pages with the same pr value.

So if you are able to get 4 links of the same pr value for every 1 .edu link you can get, where should you spend more of your time?

It's all about pr value - that's the most important thing.

Maybe a dumb question...but isn't there a place that posts a bunch of do-follow .edu blogs just like other do-follow blogs?

I agree, that it is really hard to find .edu links.

I am of the opinion Google has downgraded the importance of most edu links. Also if the links are not relevant, the time and effort you spend trying to get them will probably be mostly cancelled out.

You can get Pr6 links easily, but PR6+ is a difficult one for you.
