Hi All, I am looking for lots of positive and budding entrepreneurs, or people who aspire to be an entrepreneur to help me launch a new website that focuses on promoting entrepreneurship within Australia. There are no prerequisites at all, or any experience necessary, we just want people with a good attitude towards entrepreneurship, a willingness to share opinions, advice and networking opportunities with others. Currently it would be completely volunteer based and its being run as not for profit initially, with the intention of promoting heavily after a while to generate a small revenue. Hint: You came here with 6 posts and say please help me promote my site. I have not really told you how it will benefit you, but help me anyway. Now, the Aussies whom are here are busy promoting and building their web businesses and you have not told them how or why devoting their time to something else will help with their growth and bottom line. If you actually provide some information as to how it will be a benefit then you will more than likely get a much better response.
Sorry guys.. Basically it is a forum initially, I didn't provide all the details in the original post as we were still working on the right direction. Plus, I wasn't sure what sort of a response I would get! The project has a small budget that I will be funding personally, the budget will primarily go to Advertising and Development for the first 6 months. The only thing I really ask from the people that are willing to join is to contribute their knowledge to the forum's members. If we find that your contribution is valuable (say 20 or so posts and a few threads) then we will upgrade you to moderator and allow you to have your business promoted within the forum - either through sponsored links and link exchange, and the kudos that goes with being a moderator of a large forum. The idea behind the forum is to attract Australian Small businesses and Entrepreneurs, so you would have some pretty direct marketing if thats who your customer base are. After the 6-12 month period, and based on our member count, we will start to review and promote small businesses via email marketing, blog reviews, newsletters etc, so this is also somewhere you will be offered a place to advertise. Other future plans are to hold seminars, events, awards etc all in the name of promoting entrepreneurship in Australia. Sounds good, can you let me know when the forum goes live? I'm Australian and currently the highest ranking SEO in Australia. I rank top #5 for "SEO Company" and in the top 20 for "SEO" globally on Google.com and have been in computers a long time. I actually ran a 300baud dial-up BBS here in AU back in the mid to late 80's. You have a good concept, and it's quite similar to what i wanted to do back about 10 months ago but couldn't on my own due to time constraints. Something like this could really take off, so definitely contact me before you send it live to the public so it can be optimized etc before you let the bots through the gate. I'd be happy to offer my services for free.
