I was asking for a review when I first started my blog..months ago and I got some really good tips that improved the look and functionality of it. www.thekillerslive.blogspot.com Does anyone have any tips or ideas for what I can add or change? would be appreciated. thanks. Also i was thinking of moving to joomla as I've seen some good sites made with that, but I've never made any sites with that before.
Joomla is a good choice. But you should know that J! specialize on either non-profit or business direction. If you want blogging would better use wordpress. Wordpress is restriction for functionality. Together with Joomla! you'll have possibility to huge storage of extensions for Joomla (More than 2400 and majority is free) on extensions.joomla.org and templates.
So is it against their TOS to make a profit or do they just frown upon it? I've seen some of the joomla templates and they're amazing.
for our most of needs wordpress is enough. Great start - need a unique design, so that you can distinguish yourself from others. get a rocky musical interface designed for you.
I have just finished remaking the site in wordpress, what do you think of the ad placement? www.thekillerslive.net
I think blogspot is best choice.I think wordpress and joomla Blogging is more complex to handle and takes more time to index in google rather than blogger. I also have made a blog on blogspot. and I am working on it. makingrevenueonline(dot)blogspot(dot)com
Nice design and layout. I actually really like the ad placement although it really is not integrated with the content so I would be curious to hear about your click through rate after a few days of it being up there. I would definitely add some more sidebar content, link to other killers sites, and join some programs such as mybloglog so that when you are cruising around your profile shows up on other blogs.
Good design and layout. My only concern for the site would be the use of the images off The Killers. They probably, or their record label, own all the images and music of the band. Just be careful that you don't run into any copyright or trademark issues with the site. All in all I think it looks great and Good Luck with it.
They are pretty lenient on that. Fans are allowed to share all the live content and demos they like. Plus pictures they take themselves, so I don't think I have much of an issue atm.
